One of the two Quadriga atop the Vittoriano Monument in Rome. Each of the statues weighs about 50 tons and are immense in size - I've not edited out the seagull in the bottom right corner so that you can get some sense of the scale.
The figure is that of Victoria, an ancient god of the roman era, but depending where you read it these two quadriga also represent liberty and unity - and I'm not sure which is which :D
This is a three shot HDR with 1 stop bracketing. Processed in Photomatix Pro and then further work done in Photoscape and Picasa. All taken hand held with the Fujifilm X-E1
